Worked Today
It was a bit unexpected today, but my dad called me first thing in the morning asking if I wanted to work with him for awhile.

Turns out that the boss ordered him to go up to the garage in Wisconsin to pick up some equipment, and load it onto a trailer, and my dad asked if I wanted to tag along to help him do this. So, sure, why not ?

He picked me up at around noon from my house and gave me a box of the things that he pulled from the garbage the other day, and I looked through it really quick. There was a credit card reader in there, with no shell around it. There were 2 hard drives, they looked to be in pretty good condition. There was a big-ass PIN pad that looked like it came from an ATM machine (kinda looked like this), and a small little circuit board. The back of the credit card reader was a USB connection, and there was also another USB connection on the back of the PIN pad. I told him, by my first glance on the PIN pad, I said that it was most definately from an ATM machine. I believe that some ATM machines are run by computers, thus the reason for USB ports on some of the components and on the credit card reader, and the reason for the hard drives. I tried plugging the credit card reader and PIN pad into a USB port on my computer, but it doesn't work natively, I'm guessing that it needs some source of power in order for it to be recognized. I'll probably give the credit card reader and the PIN pad back to my dad, as I have no real use for it, lol. I let him keep the little circuit board as I have no clue as to what it's function is. I'm only keeping the hard drives, they're probably good. I'll find something to do with them.

So we went off into Wisconsin for a few hours. The things that we had to load onto the trailer wasn't too bad, it was actually interesting for once, doing something else than what I'd normally expect to do for a day's work. Turns out that they also had a lot of white towels up there too, so my dad had me load them into big garbage bags to bring back to Chicago, as the box that they were in was all torn up. (They used to sell white towels in the store at Express Car Wash, but we sold them all out just recently). My good guess, is that over the weekend, I'll have to stock the store with some of the white towels, to have them for sale.

When we were done with whatever we needed to do in the Wisconsin garage, we headed back to Illinois. My dad dropped me off at my house and he continued back to Chicago.

So, ever since I've been home, I've been watching some of Lost Season 3 on DVD's, catching up on what I've forgotten about the show. It really has helped watching the entire show all over again, as there's so many things that I've completely forgotten about.

Over the past few minutes, I've been looking through some really old files from my computer, deleting what I think has now become worthless to me, stuff that I don't need any longer. I'm surprised at some of the things that I've kept over all these years.
